A weeklong stay at the hospital for postpartum preeclampsia and having a baby in the NICU all in my first week of becoming a mom to twins was not the start to motherhood I had hoped for. I think the rocky start was a huge part of why I developed PPD and PPA. Thankfully I can say 3 years later and now the mom of 3 boys, I love being a mom and I’ve learned so much!
